How do hotels know if you are of legal drinking age????

going to aruba tomorrow and the drinking age is 18. we are staying at an all inclusive hotel and i was wondering how they know if im over 18 or not? thanks

  1. They are not that strict, depending on how old you look they may or may not ask for some sort of identification.


  2. Some establishments require a genuine identification card that includes your birthdate. Others just look at you and determine whether you are over 18 or not. If you are young-looking but is actually over 18, better have that ID ready.

  3. They will ask for an i.d. more than likely.

  4. they will look at your face and guess...Duh obviously they will ask for ID. lol

  5. Your ID

  6. At anytime, servers can demand ID before they serve you alcohol.
