  1. They lay on their bed and close their eyes just like humans! And they sleep for about 8-10 hours

  2. they just keep popping pills and never get tired...duh

  3. hmmm.......

  4. yes. for a cupl hours.

  5. They sleep in nests like almost all birds do. Im not sure on how long though.

Maybe 6 hrs. Even though they have high metablolism they will be fine when they eat.

  6. they hum themselves to sleep....

  7. They sleep at night like most birds.

  8. Actually hummingbirds are unique in that they must go into a short type of hibernation called "torpor" because of their high metabolism so they do not starve overnight.   Also, most birds do NOT sleep in nests. If it happens to be the breeding season and they do have a nest, they will sleep in it..but nests are only made as a nursery for chicks..not as a bed or a house to live in.  Most birds find a scrub, or tree with lots of foiliage to protect them from wind and weather and will sleep the night there.  Others will sleep in man-made objects: eaves of house, bridges, barns, etc.
