  1. i will tell you a very good method to balance, in case you are very confused, especially in tests.

    Make a table, two main columns- 1 for reactants and 1 for products

    In each column divide the columns and label them with the elements. Write in the number of atoms of the element accordingly. Now you will see some relationships. Try experimenting with the molar values and you will finally get the answer. Nevertheless, here are the answers:

    4NH3(g) + 3O2(g) --> 2N2(g) + 6H2O(l)

    4MgO(s) + 4SO2(g) --> 3MgSO4(s) + MgS(s)

    2F2(g) + 4NaOH(aq) --> 4NaF(aq) + 2H2O(l) + O2(g)

  2. 4NH3(g) + 3O2(g) --> 2N2(g) + 6H2O(l)

    4MgO(s) + 4SO2(g) --> 3MgSO4(s) + MgS(s)

    2F2(g) +  4NaOH(aq) --> 4NaF(aq) + 2H2O(l) + O2(g)

    Here are some tutorials on balancing chemical equations.

  3. 4NH3 + 3O2 --> 2N2 + 6H2O

    Working on the next two.

  4. The fool proof method is to balance the equation element by element.

    First equation:

    Nitrogen:

    2 moles of NH3 would provide nitrogen for 1 mole of N2

    Oxygen:

    1 mole of O2 would provide oxygen for 2 moles of H2O

    Hydrogen:

    2 moles of NH3 will provide hydrogen for 3 moles of H2O

    It is customary to balance the equations using whole numbers, and from the above 2 moles of NH3 would require 1.5 moles of O2, 3 moles of NH3 would result in 1.5 moles of N2.  4 moles of NH3 would balance with 6 moles of H2O, which in turn would balance with 3 moles of O2.

    (4) NH3 + (3) O2  yields  (2) N2 + (6) H2O

    Same process works for any reaction
