Im's if you meaning an instant message such as yahoo,msn,aol,icq, are worldwide, and work from anywhere to anywhere. If you mean a Text Message, as in from a phone, some companies require you to sign up for international text messaging. Might cost you 5 dollars a month.

you would do it the same as you would here but if your plan doesnt include roam IM or texting then you might be charged.. also if your texting back here then you have to dial country codes and stuff like that
