disable internet connection for a pc in a wireless router connection... 2 are connected but i want one blocked... i want to be able to temporarily block internet connection for pc2 from pc1

  1. Block the MAC address of pc2 from your router settings and that's it. After blocking pc2, pc2 will no more have access to the internet.

    If you can't do that, disable wireless network by turning off the switch on pc2. Another solution is to go to network connections and right-click the wireless connection icon (not the ethernet also known as local area connection) and choose "disable".


  2. You can change the encryption key on the router and pc 1 so that only pc 1 can use the wireless network, and later when you want both to connect again change the wireless key back to the old one where both pc1 and pc 2 were connected, all without touching pc2 at all.

    Generally, however, you can just deactivate the wireless card/module on a pc so that it can't detect or connect to any wireless networks.  I know for desktops typically for windows in the tray there's the wireless card/module icon, and you can right-click and select disconnect, or open it and then click disconnect.  If it's a laptop the newer ones all have wireless modules with external switches that you can flip to on or off, and that's another solution.
