How do i add a friend on Yahoo?

I just want to know how you add a friend to yahoo thats all not msn or anything like that

it depend on which messenger you r using

if u have downloaded the messenger  then at the top you will find add contacts and there you type the email adderess.

if u have not downloaded the messenger and using direstly then at the bottom it would be given the option to add contact and  there u can type the  id of the person.

you go to add contact and enter first&last name,email,user id and finally phone#      

                                           (#=number)

when you email this person after it says do you want to add to address book and you click on that fill out a form and then you push save.
