How do i add alkalinity increaser to my inground pool?

Question

i have 6 pounds of powdered alkalinity increaser and im not sure how to add it to my pool? i was also wondering if it can be added while vacuuming?

Alkalinity increaser is nothing but baking soda and can be added by simply broadcasting it around the pool. It dissolves almost instantly. However, your best bet would be to wait until after vacuuming you dont want to vacuum out what you just added.

don't know if you have gunnite or liner pool  but it's always best to mix chemical in a bucket and pour around pool or at water outlets this is all chemicals p.h.& shock.
