How do i add two pictures together..?

so i have a picture of lil wayne and i have a quote that i would like to add above the picture to put on my myspace..but i have no idea how to do it.. if you could please help me i would appreciate it.. i tried paint and photobucket but not sure how to do it..i would appreciate it thank you :)

open image, create frame and border, adjust for text, and apply,

in paint, open new canvas, resize for photo and text, open new paint to open picture with, copy, then paste on canvas, move into place, the type text on blank section,
