I have a child and i want to monitor his actions on the computer. I have a Norton 360 antivirus live? its something like that, and it scans my computer for the keylogger and has deleted it once. Also the windows defender system can also track it. How can i change options on my computer's program to allow my keylogger to still operate?

thanks.

  1. Whilst i understand your concerns about monitoring your childs actions. There are indeed better (i.e more ethical) ways to do so.

The reason the Antivirus and AntiSpyware applications are picking them up and removing them is for that exact reason. Generally Keyloggers themselves utilize coding thats also present in certain viruses and/or spyware to achive the desired results in secret.

The only way around this is if you were knowledgable in programming and developed your own or found one that didnt utilize such code.

You can either invest in or look online for parential supervision applications (Windows Vista has basic parential support) or you can check out this free alternative:

  2. That is a disgusting and overzealous invasion of privacy.

  3. talk to them more, don't just invade them. every child has their naughty/dirty stuff on the computer, respect that. only unless it's dangerously bad, just let them be. If you were 15 you'd probably do the same. :)
