Question:

How do i apply a password protection to one folder just one singal folder in my hard disk ? ?

i have vista ..i know how i can put a password at the start so n one can get in but just want to put a password into a one folder so when ever i want i can access them and modify them? ..is there any software to do this ..or can i use some thing on vista ..please help ../

  1. If Vista works like xp...........:

    Make a Password Protected Folder in XP

    Right click the Desktop and New and pick the Compressed (zipped) Folder.

    Open the zipped Folder and put some stuff in it. Then click the File in the

    upper left and put a password on the Folder. Now no one can open the

    contents but they can look in to see the files in there. sooooo...

    ...If you don't want that, do the same thing again and drag the 1st one into the 2nd one.

    Now someone can look in that one but all they'll see is the 1st

    zipped Folder and they can't open that one to see anything.

    ...Now just drag it anywhere you like.
