Question:

How do i ask for advice from my parents for a relationship?

Me and my parents aren't really close at all. My mother still treats me like a little kid, and my father just doesn't seem like he cares. It's awkward every time we try to talk about relationships, but it just doesn't happen. Any advice on how to make the conversation less weird like?

  1. It's not healthy to be unattached from your parents like that, your parents really do care. Talk to your parents about less awkward stuff like your favorite foods or music or whatever. After a couple of weeks, it won't seem so awkward to talk about relationships.

  2. if ur not that close with your parents that's something you are going to have to fix.

you have to start conversations about anything

and you should tell them that you want to get some advice. its going to be weird at the beginning but you will just have to push past that

my mom is my best friend but we still have weird convos and we end up laughing about it all in the end. so really you should jsut push through it and it will always work out.

    jsut be honest with them.

  3. Just be straight out with it.  'Mom, Dad, I want to talk to you about relationships!' Sometimes it's hard for people to accept that their little angel is all grown up.  Being direct will leave them in no doubt!

    Good luck.
