Ok well I'll tell you what my uncle did recently. He wore the engagement ring on his finger and when they sat down together at dinner in front of everyone he started getting really ridiculously uncomfortable and when she asked him what was wrong he showed her his pinky finger with the ring and said "Its too small, mind wearing it?"...yeah they're married with 2 kids! Just propose or suggest casually. It should be ok, if she's not the fussy and pampered kind. Around 3 months after me and my hubby knew each other, we know in our hearts that we are each other's true love and soulmates. So marriage came naturally. Well, good luck to you.

It depends on where you are located, geographically, and the resources you have available to you.  My fiance asked me to marry him on the top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas... we're from Chicago, but went there on vacation.  However you do it, definitely get down on one knee.

Bring her on a romantic getaway weekend with a hotel that has a jacuzzi and fireplace in the room.  Make sure that it is by some type of super cool places to check out in the daytime.  Just tell her you just want some quality time and make it a surprise as to where you are going. Eat fancy dinners and do fun stuff around town.  The actual proposal part should be something very romantic and private, but you'll have to figure out the rest.  Good luck!

ahh, Well I think that taking the box the ring is in and put a piece of paper in it asking her to marry you. Then put that box in a bigger box and keep going until the box is pretty big. A proposal is such a personal thing, and not knowing either of you, it is very hard to suggestion. A proposal should be something that fits your personalities. Be is funny, romantic, dorky, whatever it is.

My fiance took me to a very fancy restaurant which was typical for us, he excused himself to the bathroom and then suddenly over a loud speaker he started talking and walked over to me with a microphone in hand, he proposed to me then and there in front of everyone. Shortly after I said "YES". Our families came through the banquet room, which had been decorated by them, we celebrated then and there. This fit our personalities PERFECTLY, I loved the attention and celebrating with our family in a very elegant restaurant.

My best friend is married to a tattoo artists, he proposed to her by getting a "fake" tattoo on his back that said "Will you marry you". Totally fit there goofy, tattood personalities. Then he had us all waiting at an ice cream parlor to surprise her. Totally fitting for them.

Just do something that fits BOTH of you, speak from the heart.
