How do i attach hardi backer to concrete to prep for tile.?

I just did my shower and floor. They sell screws in the tile section and the bit to s***w them in with. Hang it just like drywall, sink your screws in just about an 1/8 of an inch deep.

backer is not needed over existing concrete. The hardi backer is also concrete and the backer board is only used to cover a surface like wood that is not solid like concrete.

You should be able to apply tile directly to concrete. However if you need to apply hardi board  you can use thin set just like you are applying tile and some self threading screws,  i.e. tapcons.

I would use Waterproof construction glue.  Then still anchor some screws into wall with plastic inserts.
