  1. read your email i sent you 'bout joining

  2. >can I ask you why this is so important to you? you have asked a question like this before. I am not talking down to you, but it seems to me it takes patience and time for any site to go. this is the wrong place to look for traffic.link up to other sites dude.your the opposite of me, I have my site for member purposes only. every once in a while, I invite someone to check it out or join, but outside of that, its a tool, like everything else. We all live far apart here where I live so other than phone calls, it way of posting messages, and keeping in touch. I dont usually go to other sites unless I am looking for someone or something specific.

  3. Well, posting the url in Y!A is a good way to get attention.  However, some might see that as spamming. :-)

Your best bet is to try to appeal directly to your audience.  I would recommend you "haunt" areas that deal with the paranormal.  This is one place, as is the TAPS board.

  4. If you think it is still good, then leave it. I'll take a look!

  5. Thanks for the update on the lunar phase.....

*All day I was wondering whether there was going to be a full moon tonight.....

  6. Ryan..I told you I went to it and loved it and told others they should go to it. I can't keep my mind on long things. I just went there today and read some more ghost experiences. I really like that part. And I like the moon part too. I don't understand about a lot of other things...but I'll look at it again. I didn't see a place to sign in ...but I'll look for it. I know you want the guys and people who are investigators. Why don't you put this on the Parapsychology section. I think Shadows and Darth would like to see it..and probably others..then they could spread the word. It really is a great web and I'm so glad 333 told you to make it where we could just click on. If the others don't mind..you could also put it on the Alternative Section. I wish all of you had a web site we could go to It doesn't bother me if ALL of you "advertise" your sites. It's there for our enjoyment...not like something we have to buy. I think it's a good thing!

Edit..I didn't see any place that said "Guestbook". Where is it?

I'm afraid to click on things for psychics..readings etc. Last time I did that I got a bunch of psychic stuff popping up all the time. I did go to the site about famous psychics...didn't see Lisa Willams on there. Never heard of the others..except Sylvia. I'll read up on them later. I just forget to go to it.I mean to. Let us know where the guest book it. Maybe you should put it on the front page.

Edit...I like that you DON'T have scary pictures on it. If you have them..then I won't be able to go to it...cause I don't look at scary things. Of course , I'm only one person. Maybe that's what others like. I don't think that the paranormal should be so scary. I think that's what puts fear in people and that's what makes spirits etc. have control of you and your life. A  person's life and soul are not things anyone should mess with...to do harm. You should want to  "inform" people about the paranormal..not scare them. Anyway..that's what I think!

  7. The only thing I would change are the pictures. The mist and Orbs could be anything. I have never felt they are proof of the paranormal.  I see that you have a link to a my space page. have you joined any Yahoo! groups about the paranormal? Being active in groups like that, and using your links as your signatures will make people curious to look at them.

  8. well i have a website to and i need help sorry cant answer

  9. 1) You need to keep telling people about it.

    2) You need to keep the content updated and fresh.

    3) You need to have content that is interesting and unique from other sites. If there are 200 sites with all the same stuff as yours, then noone will care.

When people become interested they will tell friends and friends will tell friends. This can take a long time, or it can take a week. However, you have to have content that is worth viewing for longer than a few minutes.

  10. Word of mouth is still the best advertising for any product or service and this takes time. I'm sure some people will return and read it more in depth when they have time. Internet browsers are fairly famous for their give it to me now state of mind.

Meaning they are more likely to visit the site several times for specific information rather than read all the information in one visit.

  11. Ryan, your web site is obviously new..so take your time and prepare more for it..dont worry so much about getting visitors through it just yet, but preperation is the best tool to use first..Cause if you get people coming in to early, they might not find anything interesting enough...so prep is important...

Now cause paranormal is becoming so popular these days, you have major competion..and thousands of other web sites to keep up with..so you need to take a few different approaches, be a little different, reach out into new areas of paranormal...dont just stick to the old boring haunted places..and investigations, like many others....(this is a bit like sales, and you need to see it like that...you need to sell your website to the viewers, get them interested, and keep them..like myself , i mainly stick to a couple of websites that i really like, and they dont get boring, cause they cover so much, and i keep with them, and recommend them to others....

So you need to go out and explore further, in here is a great place to start..see what most posters here, have trouble with....then you can research the information, and provide answers to your site..a link to help them ..but more than just haunted houses and ghosts...alot of people experience angel encounters..including myself..a bit of demonology just for notes incase someone wants to get some info in that area...another topic i find interesting is supernatural events that happen around religion..apparitions of mother mary.>>thats still a ghost haunting in a slight different way...

But mainly get ideas from what people are posting....

Also join yahoo groups like many others..most people like having a discussion area...ill give you a couple of links to other sites, and have a look at them and see what they cover..just to give you ideas...you can bring back ideas from their sites and topics and take them with you, so you can explore with new ideas...but you need to cover a lot of other topics, to please a larger group of people..(remember that)..and your ground work is most important, rather than just getting traffic through to start off with...you want them to keep coming back...and mainly you want to explore in getting and gathering evidence....

Another good thing to do is collect peoples experiences and their stories and photos and post them..the ones you like or think are good..(not BS ones).. people always love reading about others experiences and viewing their photos....

Ok here is one site i really recommend, you look at, and see what they cover..you should get some good ideas from this one....

    Good luck......

  12. First thing- You mgihtwant to put a bit more for them to read in the opening page. As in, when I click on the link, I go there and I see no friendly paragraph teling me what this site is about.

I of course know what it is about, but if there is something there for them to read, they will probably read it. Then they're hooked. At the end of the paragraph, put something like "Check out our [insert link] page for more information in [insert subject]". That oughta help.

  13. you should give incentives to look at it.
