How do i avoid pencil line while coloring with colored pencils?

the rubbed outlines seem to show as well as the outline which makes it look artificial

  1. start from the center and work out in a circular motion and lighten up the pressure youre applying and color over in layers to blend and darken.  Also, get a kneeded eraser and then sort of push it on the area that is darker.  If you outline first in graphite, use an HB pencel and I always go over it, pressing the kneeded eraser on it (pressing, not rubbing, so it takes it up and leaves a faint line).  


  2. use less pressure and use the side of the lead instead of the point,

    go over it with a smudge tool afterwards

  3. another thing you could try doing.. whenever you're done coloring, take a piece of paper, and twist it to a very sharp point, and then rub that paper overtop of each color to smooth out the lines. it helps.

  4. try to buy colored pencils that are softer, also put a few pieces of paper under the one you are drawing on. And make sure the paper you are drawing on isn't overly textured. Regular printer paper is smoother and thus shows less lines.
