How do i avoid side cramps during soccer?

tomorrow i'm going to play a game of soccer with some friends. how do i avoid getting side cramps while playing? what must i do before playing, maybe during the game as well, after playing... basically what must i eat and drink beforehand, do i warm up, what warm-ups do i do, what breathing techniques do i use, etc. your help is appreciated...

  1. Breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth. Thats what my soccer coach used to always tell us.


  2. you just have to increase your running endurance. run run run and keep training hard. eventually they will go away.

  3. stretch before you play. i think you can do that on your own.. cuz that would be too long of a list. drink water, but down drown yourself in it. pace your self when your running. and breath through your nose out your mouth, and when you get tired, down sit down cuz thats bad and you need to stand up so the oxygen flows through your body right

  4. drink plenty of water the day before

  5. Stretch before the match, get plenty of fluids and have a banana about 30 minutes before you play.

    Eat a well balanced dirt that is low in sodium and be sure to get enough potassium.
