How do i become CEO of a large company?

i would really like to become CEO of a large company one day and i was wondering exactly how to get there?

One of two ways -

1) Get a business degree, join a large company as lower to middle management and work your way to the top as you gain experience

2) Start your own small company and grow it to a large company.

Just remember, each year there are thousands of kids graduating from B-school and there are only about 2500 to 5000 large companies - you will be competing with every B-school graduate as well as managers already in the workforce, so you will have to shine and make yourself noticed.
