  1. i probably wouldn't post signs in public areas just to be safe. take a cousre on babysitting...through american red cross, safe sitter, or your local hospital. then start asking your parents friends if they need any babysitting.it might take a little time, but in the end its worth it. if you have any more questions, just post them up in the additional details, and i'll try to answer them

  2. The babysitting course, and cpr are always a bonus to parents. YOu could first ask a mom if you could be her "helper" keep an eye on the kids when she is gardening, or just trying to get things done. Eventually she will see how good you are and have you to watch them alone, or recommend you to friends. I babysat almost every kid on my block when I was younger, all through recommendations!

  3. Well I started babysitting at 14 which was still a challenge. I just needed to show the parents that I was mature enough to watch their kids. As a parent now, I know that leaving my daughter with a kid isn't easy and it's hard to trust somebody you don't know especially since your so young. One thing I look for in a babysitter is maturity and experience. Do you have any experience with family members even if it was once for 10 minutes every little bit counts when your just getting started. Good luck.

  4. Well, I'm a babysiter and started this year and im 13. I put up signs like babysitting services and you won't believe how many people called. You can put signs on poles, trees, bulletin boards, grocery stores, and make flyers to put on cars. Hope I helped.

  5. I started babysitting when i was about that age, and continued to until i was 18. I didnt really have to do much, though. The first kids i babysat were family friend's and then after that i just got referred to other families.

When i first started i babysat the kids while the mom was still home, or left for a short period of time. That way, she could get things done without having to worry about the baby. You should post posters around town offering this. You'll be more likely to get a job at your age if you do that, and it'll be great practice for when you're old enough to get a real babysitting job.
