i am horrible at singing but i'm getting better on my own.

sing along to songs u kno the words of. hav the volume lower than ur voice so u can hear it and try to make it better.

Practice a lot, especially with Karaoke tracks.  Try singsnap.com  Also, focus on one song for a whole hour.  Learn every little moan and run the singer is doing.  Focusing on one song will help you to notice all the little things the singer is doing that most people don't catch on to.
