  1. practice practice practice(:

i play volleyball at school.... make sure you know exactly when to do your approach(timing is everything). when the ball is its highest and at its peak... do your left right left approach.the first step being used as a distance step to move you closer to the ball... and the other two to get you in the air. dont forget to use your arms to get you off the ground(:

p.s. if you are left handed the steps are right left right.

  2. approach is left right left but the last 2 steps are like a hop kinda. your arms should go back and then up in your approach. reach high and follow through.

if there is a certain part of hitting you dont get just ask :)

    good luck

  3. here's how u start

    1. b in the ready position

    2. take a HUGE step with ur left foot arms infront

    3. SHORT step with right arms back

    4. SHORT step with left

    5. squat

    6. jump

    7. both arms up bring one back and smack the ball down

  4. i think you should practice your aproach with out a ball...(left right left) unless you are left(right left right)

then use a ball with it(ask a parent or friend to toss the ball up at like a 33 and 43)

Right handed: long Left short right left when you end on left you shoul have your left foot toward the setter and your right towards the net

Left handed: Long right short left right end up with your right foor to the side like right handed exfcept oposite of the setter and you left towards the net.(you also could use your right handed aproach when you are just saving a ball)

good luck with highschool have fun

  5. In order to have a good strong hit, yes you need to be able to have the right approach, but you need to swing all the way through dont act like you are going to serve the ball. Also snap your wrist.  Last but not least my coach always stresses on you having your ab muscles to help with your verticle and being able to swing. So work on your abs.
