  1. Start snooping around

  2. GOD help us! if you can't find that out I wouldn't bother going any further! Bless you!

  3. you will need to start at the bottom on the beat before being able to work your way up

  4. Yes, you have to become a beat bobby. You have to stay in the force for two years, then you can begin to apply for other jobs around the force. To be a detective you have to take exams and interviews. Sometimes you have to pass a practical 'exam' aswell, but don't quote me on that last part.

  5. if you carnt find that out without been on here i wouldnt bother

  6. may ask your careers teacher

or ask around, maybe open days and what not might give you some answers.

if you're willing to, maybe ask the police? they might know.

  7. You would have to join and work as a regular, uniformed officer first.  Once you've finished your 2 years as a probationer you would be expected to have a few years experience of general police duties before you could apply to become a detective.  Your local police force will have a website which will give you all the information you need.

  8. depends on the country

but normally yes you need to go through the general process of training as a police officer before you can venture into this position. Detectives are cops... so yeah

  9. You need to join the police and do 2 years probation before you become an actual PC and then you have to do extra training and exams to become a Detective then adidtional trainings for promotion e.g. Sergeant, Inspector etc.
