  1. If your parents are EU nationality (not necessarily European, so check carefully), then you could apply for EU nationality. This would make moving to Ireland much much easier because EU nationals are processed far more quickly as they only have to apply for a residency permit and are allowed to work. Australians and New Zealanders need visas to work in Ireland, and this is time-consuming and expensive.

You can then apply for Irish citizenship after 6 years, or before then if you can find an Irish man to marry - but the chances are he will want to move to Australia!

  2. Why is it that you want to become an Irish Citizen? Do you want to get away from the commonwealth? I wouldn't blame you if that was the reason.

If you marry an Irish person then the following may apply:

If you are the spouse of an Irish citizen who is applying for Irish citizenship you must meet the following conditions:

        * You must be married to the Irish citizen for at least 3 years

        * You must have had a period of 1 year's continuous "reckonable residence" in the island of Ireland immediately before the date of your application

        * You must have been living on the island of Ireland for at least 2 of the 4 years before that year of continuous residence

        * Your marriage must be recognised as valid under Irish law

        * You and your spouse must be living together as husband and wife

        * You must be of full age, good character and intend to continue to live on the island of Ireland

        * You must have made a declaration of fidelity to the nation and loyalty to the State.

You have to have grandparents, your parents had to come from somewhere. Find out where they were from. Do some research.

  3. Send a cheque to

    Mr B. Ahern

    leinster house

    Dublin

    Ireland.

Say your a mate of paddy the plasterer and offer him a digg out, He generally works with cash though, haas had problems with de bank in de past

  4. You need to move to Ireland and apply for residency, the same way that people come to Australia and apply to be Australian citizens. You need to move though, you can't become irish while you live in Australia.

  5. How  could you be Australia
