How do i become a kung fu(martial arts teacher)?

just wondering how long it takes and how to go about becoming qualified!

  1. My instructor told me that you don't have to have any certain "rank" to open a dojo. He told me that this brown belt opened up a chain of Karate schools, and the technique taught was horrible, etc. You just need good marketing skill, etc.

    I'm not saying you should open up a dojo when you know absolutely nothing, because then you are teaching people bad technique and could get them seriously injured in a real life situation.

    I would think that a person looking to sign up for a martial art is looking for a high rank belt in what they do.


  2. Well it really all depends, but you have to be at least a first degree black belt to be a Sensei (Karate teacher). It would probably take about 7 years.

  3. i'm in karate and all you have to do is take karate class until you eventually reach 10th degree black belt and the you can go off and buy or rent a dojo and start teaching classes

  4. my cousin Russel is one he had to take 10 years of that c**p know he works at this place in coon rapids
