  1. routes into teaching in England are controlled by TDA, see

    www.tda.gov.uk/Recruit.aspx

  2. Why would you want to do this to yourself??  Why do you think there is a shortage of maths and science teachers!?

  3. In scotland you need good standard grades and 5 highers (A levels) to get into uni and you would do a teaching degree

  4. There's a shortage of maths and science teachers because they're leaving in droves. I know I am one of them. Too much paperwork, too little support, abusive and offensive students, classroom disruption with no deterrent. Should I go on?

  5. You could study pure maths, applied maths, statistics, or a combination af all of these at university. I must warn you though, maths at university is nothing like A' level. I found it very disappointing (and really boring)

  6. Get good maths GCSE's, at least an A in maths

You will also need Science and English

A levels in maths (pure, applied, stats, etc.)

A degree at Uni followed by a PGCE

Your teachers at college when sudying A levels will give you good guidance....there is a shortage of maths and science teachers!!

If you have a good 1st class honours in Maths, you can get virtually any job!!!

  7. You'd have to do have at least 2 A levels grade C or above including a relvant subject (math, statistics, algebra, historical theroms, physics). You would then have to enroll in a university and do either a pure or applied math honours BA degree. Following this you would then have to another year teachers traing to get your education certificte.

To improve your chances of becoming a math teacher in aprimary school you should do some kind of voulnteering work with children such as be part of the staff of a youth club.

  8. you will need to add up i-e 4+7=13
