  1.   I fish tournaments through a local bass fishing club that a bunch of us got together and started.  It's not that hard to start your own club or join one that is already in your area. Just type a search for bass clubs in your area.

Also, Check out some of the web sites the others provided. Specially the bassmaster.com site. They have  Open Tournaments all over the US for men and women that are members. Also check out http://flwoutdoors.com which is another big  tournament sponsor.

most of the times clubs in your local area will require you join one of the big sponsors so check into that. Hope this helps and good luck

  2. To know more about

  3. Since you are a beginner I suggest to phone or go by local tackle shop and just ask them who to contact they know in local bass club. You need to begin local to cut down on your cost in getting your experence. From there you will gain knowledge of what to expect in tournament fishing and information about other tounaments outside your local area.  Good luck.

  4. there is a listing in Bass Magazine that lists all affiliated B A S S clubs in America and there in lies the question of whether or not there is a club near to you. when you find one you get the night of the meeting and go to it introduce yourself and become a member and fish the club tournaments as a non boater and if you find out its the real deal then you buy a boat and start going to and paying the price to enter tourneys all over your state and if you get in the money you go after sponsers and if you win they give you a new boat so you sell your old boat and you go after more sponsers and then you win another boat and you donate it to your church so you can write off the adjusted income as a full donation and then you realize d**n this is easy and you become a professional based on your prowess on the water and the clean life style you live.

  5. Compete in some local competitions like ones from your local bass fishing club. Make a name for yourself, and try to get some sponsors.

Then, compete in more tournaments, get more sponsorship which means more money, which also means more competitions.

  6. practice?

  7. Usually you have to join a bass angler's club, but check out this site and you can search for tournaments in your state and be able to get information on how you can get in on the fun.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Additional: This one might actually be easier to find one's for your state. You can break it down by state and lake. It is a little more user friendly:
