  1. The laws vary from state to state; some are more accepting of homeschoolers than others. You would have to do some research on what your state requires and go from there. Most of the time, all you need to submit is a letter of intent. That is written by your parent saying s/he is going to teach you at home.  Your parent will then take responsibility for your education. If college is an interest, then you do not want to view this as unschooling -- you will still need the credits and SAT scores to apply. Unschooling is great when younger, but as you prepare for college entrance exams, you need to understand what you're being tested on.

  2. It depends on the state that you live in, each have their own laws regarding home schooling, check out http://www.hslda.org for information about home schooling.  Especially http://www.hslda.org/highschool/default.... for HS

  3. you look up the laws for your area and follow them

you have to look them up

some states have a date requirement to file papers (no later than aug 15), some states require you to formally register as a school, report grades and submit test results.  some states require you to file a sylubbus of the courses.

then you get into a program.

this can be school in a box or a pick and choose.

The big things is if you want to go to college you have to cover Geometry, Trig, Civics, Biology, Lab Chemistry or physics, english grammar and comp

You want to go to private or ivy you need 2 years second langauage.

Unless you enroll in a workshop or Learning Tree you will not be covering drama, music, art, newspaper/year book production.

  4. you will need a parent to withdraw you and figure out what kind of home schooling you want to do ..this info may help you
