  1. A leader is someone who doenst bosses people around but to help them too. Be a helpful person who is kind and also a listener.

  2. Honestly I don't think it is something you can force.  It's a natural personality trait.  In my group of friends they all generally go the way I go as far as hanging out, and if I am working they don't get together.  My work schedule forces me to work weekends for a month and during that month they all might go get dinner but they leave all the social gatherings for times that I can make it.  Why?  I have no idea.  I mean, they are my friends and they obviously want me around, but I don't understand why it is this way, it just happened.

  3. Honestly my group of friends was about 20 strong back in my high school days.  Everyone was in competition to be the leader of the pack to the point that people started fighting with one another.  Mostly the guys in our group.  However, I was the quiet shy one of the pack.  I didn't talk much but everyone respected me because I never caused problems or joined their competition for Alpha Male.

Well that was at least 15 years ago and now our group of friends has dwindled down to just the 3 of us.  People move on, people come and go, but just the 3 of us have always stuck together.  Nobody is the leader of our group.  We each contribute some sort of value for our group and look up to one another.

Being a leader is just a status that is often the source of competition and loss of friends.  To me, I'm not sure why you want to be leader, but I learned a long time ago that it's not worth it.
