How do i block a user from snding instant messages to my yahoo messenger?

Delete them of your IM messenger!

first of all, make sure that the person u want to block, is not added in ur yahoo messenger buddy list.(if added than delete him/her)

after deleting,open instant message window,send him/her a message and in the chat box click CONTACT menu at the top of chat box and than click CONTACT OPTIONS and there uw ill see IGNORE USER, click it and than click OK on confirmation.the person is blocked

u can block by another way too, click MESSENGER menu of yahoo messenger,and below to SIGN OUT and other options, u will see PREFRENCES, click it and there u have to click at IGNORE LIST, beside the display image and content and other options, click at IGNORE LIST and u will see an ADD button there, click the ADD button and there in the box u have to write the id of the person u wnat to clock, after writing his/her id click IGNORE button, u r done, just click APPLY and OK, thats all.
