  1. A large non-polarized capacitor in series. It's value depends on the value of the resistance of the circuit.

    10 k impedance, you will need a cap of

    X = 1/2πfC where f = 1 Hz

    X is small compared to the 10k

    1k = 1/6C

    C = 1/6000 = 200uF

    1k impedance, C goes up to 2000uF

    These are very difficult to get as non-polarized. A non-ideal solution is to use two polarized caps of twice the value connected in series with the polarities reversed, ie, -  to  -.

  2. With a large value non-polarized ceramic capacitor connected in series.

  3. For your own merits, observe how the output of an amplifier

    is coupled to the input of the succeeding amplifier stage. A coupling condenser is used other wise known as a blocking

    capacitor to block the DC supply of the output circuit and also

    the input bias of the next stage.
