  1. You could ask her nicely.  Or get a router that wasn't made by your grandpa in his college years.  Your typical teenage girl uses almost no bandwidth.  Unless you've got the worst internet on the face of the planet, it's not her fault.

  2. Change your security!

Go into http://192.168.0.1 (or what ever your router address is )on your comp and change the wireless of even turn the wireless off

    you router could be:

    http://192.168.1.1

    OR

Go onto http://whatismyip.com and get ur ip and type that into your browser.

  3. You can't.  There are no laptops around any more, they quit making laptops two decades ago, and their maximum lifespan was around 7 to 10 years!

Laptops were an old technology and were the size of a large briefcase.  They ran very hot and were very heavy, based on the same technical level as the old TRS-80 computer.  Laptop is NOT a nick-name, it is a trade term used by the computer industry.  The last laptop I can remember seeing was in the early 1990s.

What you have is either an "electronic notebook" portable computer or an "electronic notepad" portable computer.  Those, too, are industry terms, not nicknames.  There was an interim computer between laptops and notebooks, but I am not aware of any industry term for them other than maker-name  model numbers.

But people today still use the term "laptop" which is utterly wrong, like calling a pick-up truck a "car" and saying the letter "oh" instead of the number zero, none of those is interchangeable.
