I have gym this year and it's the toughest class. It's physical fitness. So far everyday we have been running for 2 laps which is about half a mile. Sad to say i die. After the first lap. It's not that i can't do it...it's just that i can't breathe so I start to get tired and weak and I feel like I can't move my legs. What can I do so I can run fast and Breathe fast too. I have a lot of leg muscle and I weigh at least 155 pounds and I am 5'4. What are some techniques I could do that will help me run faster and breathe better?

  1. The major cause of exhaustation is because the body need oxygen and that depends on how you breath, inhale with the nose as much as your lungs can take and exhale with the mouth (the quicker you do it doesn't means that you will run faster, it will make you get tired faster). Also you need to perform some exercises with your legs try riding bike and you will notice the difference, good luck with your physical fitness

  2. Normal breathing with your mouth slightly open should be correct. Control your breath is unwise.

  3. Breath through your nose.

    Exhale through your mouth.

    :D

  4. just relax, breathin through nose, out with the mouth

I run a lot and what I do is get a pattern going. for every 2 steps I breathe in then for the next 2 I breathe out...however some people do different patterns like the same thing I do except its 3 steps instead....it helped me out a lot once I started to get a consistant pattern going....even if you start to become really out of breath maintain the 2/3 step pattern
