How do i build an electric battery/fuel cell for my car so it runs off mainly electricty?

Ive heard of cars that you can plug into an outlet and let them charge and it uses primarily that electric energy to fuel the car and uses the gas basically as a "backup" fuel.

Anyone know how to build this battery set, hook it up, and costs of it?

You don't. Not even the might of huge auto manufacturers have developed fuel cell cars that are affordable to make or power with hydrogen.

Now if you want to build a plug in electric vehicle it is as simple as going on the Internet and Googling "electric vehicles". There are kits and all the components you need to own you very own electric car.

Search for EV's and you will get lots of information. you can use any std. deep cycle lead acid battery available in market as well as inverters too. Separate battery chargers are available too.

you will need to modify your car to remove gas engine and put electric motor instead.

Hard to build a good plug-in hybrid at home. Easier to build a pure battery powered car.
