How do i burn episodes and shrink them?

Question

i have sonic episodes on my external hard drive and i would like to burn them..... but i need a program that will work and shrink the video to make more fit on a standard 4.7 gb dvd disc

i have tried the following

dvd shrink

dvd fap/decreptyer

e.m. easy dvd

and other stuff
