How do i buy the right xbox 360 for me?

Question

so im making a decision on buying a 360. all my friends have one and im pretty new to this. all i want to do is play new games coming out and online. im not sure about that movie thing or if ill get into that?

which version is the best to buy?

should i just get premium?

theres a rumor that the arcade version is gonna be $200. should i get that and buy a harddrive?

is the elite worth it?

will the the premium and elite get a price cut?

First off, the premium (20GB) has already had a price cut. It previously cost $350 but recently had a price drop in order to make room for the new premium version, which will have a 60GB hard drive. The new (60GB) premium will be $350

Getting an arcade and then purchasing a hard drive separately is a bad move. Even if the arcade dropped to $200, you would still have to pay $100 more for a 20GB HDD or $180 for a 120GB HDD.

An elite comes with a 120GB hard drive and an HDMI cable ($50 value) and cost $450. If you were on the fence about the movie features coming, the 120GB hard drive certainly wouldn't hurt, especially if you're interested in downloading arcade games, extra game content, etc. I believe that the elite is worth it, but there hasn't been any announcement about a price drop for it.

Elite is not worth it. The Premium already got a price cut and it has more hard drive memory. you don't even need much memory...  No don't go with the arcade. It's WEAK.

Blah DO NOT BUY A 360 now!!!! the old 20g $300 may seem tempting but that is just to make way for the new 60g and it is highly rumored that will drop to 300 too...ALSO the new 60g has a new motherboard chip i think it was called jasper or falcon... And that will drastically reduce failure rate... Next you are going to need a big hard drive since in the fall they are coming out witth a huge update and it will allow you to save game disks onto hard drives for quicker loading and less chance for the disk drive to break however each game takes about 8 gig to save so yeah... ANYWAYS elite is for goths meh.. And pros already have hdmi so go with that... the arcade has like only a few megabites of memory so you will need to dish out like 100 bucks for a new hard drive so you can actually save games... Elite is way overpriced for what it has... (hdmi cable,120g hd,and everything in black) if you want an hdmi cable find it for 5 or 8 dollars on ebay trust me)

As for games if you like street racing.. Burnout paradise... Shooters:Halo 3,bioshock,gta 4,gears of war 1 and 2,Rainbow six vegas 2,unreal tournament,The orange box is a must have for casual play with your friends,Call of duty 4 is fun every once in a while however they are coming out of cod5 so you might want to wait anyways its world war 2, At e3 some cool games i saw were prince of persia,final fantasy (if your into that thing),fable 2,

Xbox live will have a BIG TOLL ON YOU 50 bucks a year and you have to buy ms points for extra content but what i do is go to  http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=43... and get free ms points and subscription just by spending a few hours filling out surveys!!!! plus they email the codes via email or send big packages they also send games and you can request things from amazon as a prize...
