If you are referring to your name in an IM box or on Yahoo! Pages (when you see Welcome, your name), change your name in these areas...

http://edit.yahoo.com  you can creat 6 profiles for 1 account on yahoo

With your Yahoo ID you have made your profile by answering questions. You can make more than one ID under that profile you can have an additional 6 more Id's.. you may select the profile you wish to be the "default".  Each profile may have different answers..  male/female = age= location..

To ADD to an existing ID go to My Account either thru your current id or use Messenger.

In your My Account Info

click on "Edit create profiles"

Follow instructions.

.NOW, you can make a new ID completely separate from that one with a new or the same profile information.. especially good if more than one person uses the computer and each person wants their own messenger with their own friends list... Under that one you may have another 6 IDs

Each time you will put in your email Addy that is NOT a yahoo email address. Later you can choose which mail box you want your emails sent to.



Have a third person or just want to play around? make as many profile Id's as you wish... each profile may have an additional 6 Id's.

FOR A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ID:

In Messenger you click on Messenger in the top left corner

Then click on "sign out"

Then click on Get a new yahoo id (in blue)

Answer questions and you have a new id and you still can use your old one too.
