How do i calculate my GPA in saudi arabia?

Question

If i wanted to attend an american college and here in KSA u don't get A's B's C's ... each subejct has 100 marks and in the end they give u a percentage out of 100%

so if my percentage was 98%

What would my GPA be?

and pls let me know how u did the calculcation or give me a website that could help me out

It depends on your school, your curriculum, and where you plan to attend college (in the US college is synonymous with university, although college can also be a 2 year program).  Generally, GPA is an average of your grades.  Some schools weight certain courses more than others.  It really, really depends on where you plan to attend.  That said, 98% is going to be high 3's to 4.0 (depending on the school).

Two examples from the above link:

University 1:

95-100% = 4.0

90 - 94 = 3.9

………..

< 40 = 2.0

University 2:

70 - 100% = 4.0

60 - 69% = 3.0

lol I've got the exact same problem :p

I'm not sure, but I guess your GPA would be 3.92 or 3.9 something...

When I wanted to calculate my GPA, my friend told me that I should multiply my percentage with 4 then divide it by 100, but I'm not sure of that way. The answer sometimes makes sense, but when we tried the way with more people... didn't work out with everyone.

Best thing is to look into the American college/university you are planning to attend and they will give you a scale.

But 98% should be considered a A+ and congratulations if you got that. Mashallah.
