How do i calculate the force of attraction between two ions?

the two ions are Ca2+ and Cl-

where the ionic radius of Ca2+ is 0.100 nm

for Cl- 0.181 nm

do i use Coulomb's law??

  2. Yes, you use Coulomb's law. If the ionic radius of Ca2+ is 0.100 nm and that of Cl- is 0.181 nm, you use 0.281 nm for the distance between their charge centers. And, use the value of the Elementary Charge ~1.602×10^-19 C.
