  1. Where I live, Florida, we have grass carp. I use actual clippings of freshly cut grass to catch them. I use 12 pound test line rigged with a split shot and 1/0 bait hook. I load up the hook with the grass clippings until it's well hidden. I do alot of site fishing so I wait until I see the grass carp and cast well ahead of them in the direction they're going. This doesn't spook them and allows time for the bait to sink. That's what I use, It works for me so maybe it'll help you out.~good luck catchin'.

  2. Why?

Most places stock grass carp to keep the vegetation from getting out of control in lakes & ponds. There must be some better "game fish" you could catch...  just a thought...

yes they do occur naturally but if they were stocked to keep the vegetation down ....

  3. try shredded wheat cereal, get it wet and kind mold a ball of it round the hook

  4. We always used cherry tomatoes. That has worked better than anything else I've ever tried.

  5. on my farm worms seem to work pretty well.  I catch them every no and then.

  6. try corn wrapped in nylon in a small ball, or just a piece of corn, depending on the size of the fish.
