  1. you dont, if you want the queen you have to dig her out, wear protection though, i dont think the other ants will like it


  2. a good way is to flood the colony, but the best way is to dig a small crater in the middle(maybe a foot wide and 5 inches deep) and then you flood. Keep "watering" until the ants starts to carry their larvae(transferring in another location). Whats left for you to do is wait for the queen to emerge...

  3. do you mean catch to have or catch to kill? our exterminator told us that fire ants will have tunnels 6' deep.  that's what they do in winter.  that's why it is so hard to get rid of them.  I remember someone once told me you can sprinkle some INSTANT grits on the mound.  the queen would swell and explode when she ingested it.  but seems like i also heard that was illegal because birds might ingest it also and suffer the same fate. if you want one to keep, you probably need to visit the pet store.

  4. no smart the queen ant will always stay in the hole and most likey be guarded by ants and you can get attack but will not hurt much ok

  5. look the the ant with the crown on!!!!!
