Changing the water pump on your car is a real pain, you will need to remove the timing belt to get to the pump. When you have the timing belt covers and the belt off you will still have very little room to remove the pump.

Given that its a pig of a job to do my advice would be to replace the timing belt at the same time.

If it is anything like the K Series engine - with difficulty - you will need to take off the timing belt cover and the timing belt to get to it - once that is done - it is only 4 or 5 bolts that hold it in place.

Then you have to rebuild making sure all the timing marks line up and replace the belt as well.

Unbolt the pump, throw the car away and put the pump on a decent car.
