How do i change hame in high school .. ?

Question

is it possible to change name in a high school district ? not

legally changing .. but just for the school attendance.

oh and does the district open during the summer break ?

You really can't change the name... not for any reason, really.  It would be a fabrication, and certainly would not be appropriate for any resume or college application.  I'm afraid you'll have to make the phone call yourself... you are in high school now and should be held totally responsible for your education.  Good luck.

Why should we call, rather than you?  Actually, there is usually not a formal application for this, but if your name is legally changed, you could show them the papers and they would amend the records.  However, you can't change your name for school purposes only, because it is an important record, and while you can tell individual teachers what you would prefer to be called, they have to keep the records themselves in your legal name.

If you want to go by a nickname, there is likely no issue with this.  If you want to be called something legally and have that name on your attendance records, you need to apply for a name change and make it official.  I had a name change in high school, but it was due to my Step Father not having officially adopted me, even though I was registered under his family name.  I later converted back to the family name on my birth certificate.  There was not too much difficulty in this other than I had to ask for a change two years running.  The school didn't change it the first year and when I went back the following year it was still wrong.  Good luck to you.
