How do i change my baby's middle name??

myself and the baby's father would like to change our baby's middle name from Aron to Aaron. Can this be done ? and is there a fee for doing so. our son is 6weeks old.

I live in the North East of the UK.

  1. Ring up a legal advisor, or registry office to change it.


  2. You can change his name on the birth cerificate within a year of birth. Contact the office where you registered him and ask them what steps you need to make for this.

  3. You cannot change the original birth certificate but you could pay to have his name changed by deed poll.

  4. Don't know how but you're making the right decision -- Aaron is much better than Aron. Now's the time to fix it or it'll look like you're ignorant Americans or something.

  5. I dont know for sure but i think that there is a certain time limit on changing a babies name. So ring up the registry office asap and ask.
