How do i change my songs on limewire from itune files to mp3 files?

all my songs on limewire are in the itunes format and i need to temporarily change them to mp3. how can i do this without using a converter?

The music files in your Itunes is most probably mp3 files. YOu just havent notice it. If you have download it from limewire, i'm sure it is an mp3 file.

Limewire really should be giving you mostly mp3 files. Look in the folders you're downloading to, and check the properties of those files.

If they're not mp3, you can try opening those files in, say, Windows Media Player, then, while they're selected in Media Player, choose File>Save as. In the save box, type in "filename.mp3". It's not the best method, but I've used it to convert .wma files to mp3, so it may be worth a try.
