You can not change the user name, you can change your display name (as suggested by the earlier respondent). To change a user name, you will have to open a new account.

okay, go to your yahoo avatar page. (with the q's and a's you've asked) right next to your pic, on the right, you'll see "change account details" you can change your name there.
