How do i change the color of my trackball color on my BlackBerry Pearl 8100?

Please give detailed directions on how to change the color of my trackball. I went to the geekandproud wesite and downloaded the info. My phone wouldn't open the file. Where do i need to download the link to? Please give very detailed directions. Thanks

go to blackberry freaks.com they have it for free and it works i used it on my pearl

Hey there, I actually just did this and before I was having some difficulty figuring it out..but this was how it worked:D

You can change it without the internet on your phone. But, do you have the 8100...This application only works for 8100, It is the only device with the colored LEDs behind the trackball. There will not be a version for the 8800, Curve/8300, Pearl 2/8120/8130...Here are the steps to do it:

Go to http://www.geekandproud.net/blackberry-s...

Scroll down to "Color Pearl" and click on the "Zipped alx/cod" and click on "Save" (it will install it on your desktop ).

Go to where you saved the file, right click on the file, and select "Extract All"

Then hook up your phone to the desktop with the usb cable. Open your blackberry media manager on your desktop. Click on "application loader" and select the extracted file "colorpearl"

To enable/disable and set the color, go to Options- ColorPearl on your phone.
