  1. Get a puller that fits. Try another auto parts store or jcwhitney.com.

  2. Rent/buy/borrow a 3-jaw puller.  Unscrew the bolt and pull it off.  You may have to heat the balancer a bit to remove it ( but if you are going to reuse it, be careful not to melt the rubber portion of the pulley or the crank seal behind the pulley.  If you are going to install an underdrive pulley, you won't have to worry too much about the old balancer ).

I replaced the stock harmonic balancer with an UDP on my '97 Neon and it was a little stubborn to remove but after heating it just a bit, it came off.

  3. remove the belts remove the bolts or nut... use a puller

  4. I would say that dodge man hit it on the head. Best answer

  5. rent/borrow puller from advance or other store....

  6. sometimes those will just side right off, other times you do have to use a puller,if you don't have the right one just borrow one ,usually one good pull and it will come right off, they can be stubborn sometimes, but with the right puller it will come off,you can buy a puller for about 20 bucks and that's actually better than renting one, then you have it for the next time you have to use it,good luck.
