  1. First, call up the local pool shops in your area to see if the handle Triton and can get the keystem gasket for you, for your particular model of Triton. Go get it.

On the top of your multiport you'll see bolts around the diameter. Take note to look for an identifying feature next to these  bolts ( usually a flat spot on both halves) If you can't find anything ( it's there but you probably can't figure out what I'm talking about here), use a marker or crayon to draw a line down the side of the multiport, crossing the  upper section ( with the handle) down past where it joins the main multiport body). This is important. That way when you reassemble, you have top and bottom oriented correctly in the original place. Just match your crayon line up and your bolts holes will be in the right spot.

Undo them. Remove the top. I can't remember if the Triton's have the key stem gasket inside the main body of the multiport or if it's attached to the keystem assembly, which you're now holding in your hands. If it's in the valve body read on. If it's in the part your holding in your hands, skip this and go to the end.

Remove the old gasket , careful not to nick the plastic where it's sitting. Dry the area and the gasket seat in the main body well. You can use any marine adhesive that works with rubber and plastic or you can also use crazy glue ( a thin bead on all bottom surfaces of the new gasket). You identify the bottom as being flat, the top has a slight ridge. Glue the new keystem gasket in place and let sit to cure as per the adhesive's instructions. When cured, you're done, re assemble making sure  the top's O ring is in place and clean, as is the surface on the main body where it mates. Line your crayon marks up or use the identifying features on both halves to get your bolt holes oriented correctly and bolt it down hand tight, going from one bolt to the opposite side bolt and so on, just like putting on a car wheel.

If it's in the keystem assembly, take that part and your new gasket in to your pool shop for them to swap out. They're a little more finnicky than a gasket that's located in the multiport body and you're better off having a pro do it. Follow my re assembly instructions above, to complete the job.
