How do i check which phone service provider a land line belongs to? ?

I have to cancel my house phone, because my parents are out of the country. How do i check which phone service they are using?

Whitefence is not 100% accurate.  It will only give the base co availability

nit the actual provider

dial 00 and ask what company the operator works for.

0 = AT&T or the dominate carrier

00 = for the subscribed carrier

type in your address and zip....and see who comes up...you have all your providers. on the list!
