what wattage should i get, does it depend on the subwoofer or the amp?

  1. capacitors depend on how many watts you are running to your sub.

    1 farad capacitors are for 1000watts max

    1.1-1.9 are for 1000-2000watts

    2-2.9 are for 2000-3000watts

    etc etc.
