How do i choose my University course?

i'm leaning towards English Literature because this is where my interests lie and i've just gained an A grade at AS level so hopefully i'd be able to handle the work but i'm still not sure if i want to do it at a higher level. I'm considering completing a joint honours course so just wondering what subjects would be good and suitable to do with english? any ideas? thanks everyone

Unless your family is independently wealthy, you should be asking what will my education do to help me find my life's work?  Now we all know, some people will tell you can teach with an English degree.  That's only partly true, as you will have to have certification to teach.  And English teachers are not where most of the jobs are.

Healtcare, engineering & high tech are where your best chances for finding employment are going to be.
